Maddie Hinrichs is a visual artist specializing in oil painting and embroidery. She is the Gallery Specialist at the Lux Center for the Arts and teaches drawing at Midland University in Fremont, NE. A recent Artist in Residence at the Lux (2022-2024), she earned her MFA from the University at Albany in 2022, receiving the MFA Thesis Award, and her BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019. This fall, she will join UNL as a Painting Professor. Her work was recently recognized with a second-place award in the Miami University Young Painters Competition in 2025.
